DISCUSSION

A series of mid-level troughs will move across the continental U.S. through the middle of next week, as a prevailing northwest flow pattern continues. In response, a cold and dry airmass will remain anchored over most of the continental U.S. throughout the Day 4 to 8 period, making thunderstorm development unlikely in most areas.
